Community Payback

Community Payback

HLS welcomed the introduction of the Community Payback Order (CPO) in February 2011. We believe the CPO must be structured and resourced to create a viable and meaningful alternative to a short term custodial sentence, which gives offenders the support and direction they need in order to desist from crime. The views of offenders and ex-offenders should be sought in order to better understand what is required of CPOs.
